Founded January 1, 1997, Horizon Communities was started specifically to develop SouthPointe and other master planned communities in the Pueblo area. In addition to SouthPointe, Horizon Communities currently develops El Camino and WestRidge, two other residential communities in Pueblo.

Guiding Horizon Communities are two seasoned and widely respected professionals, Ed Robinson and Bob Leach.

Bob Leach is president and part owner of Horizon Communities Inc. and was instrumental in processing and successfully negotiating proposals for the annexation and master planning of SouthPointe.

Leach brings more than 20 years experience in residential construction and development to the SouthPointe team. As a former principal of Yellico-Leach Co., Leach created homesites and built homes in Pueblo, Colorado Springs, and Canon City. He also served as a consulting civil engineer for numerous land development projects in Colorado Springs and Pueblo. Leach is involved with the local, state and national Home Builders Associations, the Urban Land Institute, the Pueblo Economic Development Corporation, the Pueblo Chamber of Commerce and the YMCA.

Ed Robinson is part owner of Horizon Communities Inc. He has played an active role in developing and marketing many of Pueblo’s major commercial and residential sites.

Robinson was previously a partner and officer with The Vintage Companies, one of southern Colorado’s most prestigious real estate firms, and he has played a key role in the development of, among other projects, Briargate and Peregrine in Colorado Springs as well as Regency Park and El Camino in Pueblo. He has also been very active in the Home Builder Association at the local, state and national levels for 30 years, and has also served on a number of business, community and charitable boards and commissions. These have included economic development organizations, Chambers of Commerce, housing service agencies and governmentally appointed boards and commissions..
